Integrity, integrity, integrity, that’s what the military taught me. I have no sympathy for those who are dishonest so this review is going to be difficult to accept for some but it lays out the disgust that I experienced today. This place, unfortunately, lacks the important quality of integrity. I called in advance to go over the quote and details of the oil change. It was a good deal at $46.29 for synthetic blend for a tiny vehicle- and that’s no exaggeration. Also found a coupon, courtesy of Yelp, for $8 off. Should be a smooth transaction process I thought going in (plus the good reviews on Yelp and Google were an added bonus). However, when I brought the details up after checking in at the front desk, David- I believe that’s his name- immediately felt flustered. I actually watched him as he itemized the receipt, paused, looks at his computer, looks back at the receipt, then yells out a few things to his employees, looks back at his computer, hesitates, then writes filter on the receipt. Obviously trying to buy time to make up a story and this was happening right in front of me. The next thing he says completely catches me off guard, “This car takes a filter that no other car takes and I’ll need to charge extra.” This guy has got to be kidding me... it’s a Chevy and nothing auspicious about it. When I tried to inquire further and get the specific details, he couldn’t elaborate clearly and started gesturing with his hands out of frustration. He used words like “carbon”, “one of a kind”, “expensive”, and the like to emphasize his point. None of which made any sense because I knew he was making this stuff up to jack up the price and compensate for a legitimate coupon. The total ended up being more than the estimate and the coupon combined! I’ll post a picture of the receipt but the only justification he wrote was “filter”. No details as to what type of filter nor what made it so special that it would increase the price. Also, you’ll note that it wasn’t even filled out on the right line as he was so flustered trying to make up a story on the spot. In the end, I simply declined the service, drove down to Oil Changers and got the same oil change for less than Castrol Premium Lube Express, and much better customer service.
